The five-story building is located in the heart of Kent at the corner of Madison Avenue and Meeker Street. The site is on the western edge of the Downtown Commercial Enterprise zone, designated as the city’s high-density area in downtown where many live, work, and play assets are quickly emerging, as noted in a press release.
Madison Plaza is a transit-oriented development situated near retail, restaurants, entertainment, and other lifestyle amenities, and is walking distance to the commuter rail station that connects Kent to downtown Seattle and downtown Tacoma. Amenities will include a full fitness center; a rooftop terrace with BBQ area, games, fireplace, and trellises with gathering spaces; a game room and lounge area; landscaping, turf, and dog run with dog-wash areas; secured underground parking; and 1,232 square feet of on-site retail.
The project was designed by Imad Bahbah with IHB Architects and is being developed by the DMG Capital Group. It’s being built by the GIS Companies Group, known for its work on the GIS Plaza in downtown Bellevue.
