We Don’t Just Build Custom Homes – Our Team Of Experts Also Helps You Select Preferred Materials And Appliances, All At Money-Saving Prices

Sit down with us and use our material selection manuals as a guide. When you’re ready to make choices, we will help you decide on the best materials for your project. With so many options, all of this may seem very overwhelming in the beginning. It helps to have an expert by your side throughout the duration of your project. During the selection process, we will identify your preferences in both style and function. Our goal is to relieve the stress associated with making these types of selections, and we supply the insight that comes from being in the industry for generations.

During Material Selection, We Are All About Maximizing Your Buying Power

As you team with GIS in the selection process, you get both the expertise of qualified builders and the buying power of a veteran General Contractor. Our experts have a vast knowledge of flooring, windows, doors, cabinetry, faucets, baths, and more — everything you could need or want for your new custom home. This resource can save you thousands or tens of thousands of dollars. Our responsive team will work with you when you are making decisions regarding your project or when meeting with vendors.

You may already know what you want in some areas, but are you aware of all the options available? GIS has access to some of the finest building materials and we possess the know-how to source them within your budget. We work with you and guide you through the process and will give you our insights or opinion as appropriate. If you have not built a custom home before, you may be surprised by the number of options and choices available to you. We will help you as much as needed “in-house” during our planning meetings, and we can also supply you with materials from vendors that give you additional choices to consider.

You Don’t Have To Choose Everything At Once

The options offered in our custom homes are vastly different than those you might find in a track home. You don’t have to choose from five or ten options. You can literally choose from anything in the world. Keep in mind that we will work with you through the selection process, as both a guide and an advocate. Remember, however, that making all the necessary decisions on a timely basis will help your project run smoothly and allow you to keep your custom build on schedule. It is recommended that you make choices and place orders for your project as you progress through the selection process.

You will be amazed by the options available to you – and by how much the final product reflects your preferences and lifestyle.

Our team will be your “best friend” throughout the selection phase of your custom building project.

Exterior Doors For Your Custom Home

  • A Steel Door is best if you are highly sensitive to security and protection. Steel doors are stronger than wood, fiberglass, or aluminum. They also will not crack or warp, even in the worst type of heat waves or because of direct sunlight. This type of door will require some maintenance and routine painting.
  • Fiberglass Composite Doors are extremely tough and maintenance-free. These are the best doors if you are concerned about moisture or humidity. One nice feature is that fiberglass composite doors can easily mimic the look of wood with the addition of wood grain texturing. Other advantages include: fiberglass doors have one of the longest standing warranties; they have high energy efficiency ratings due to voids in the door being filled with insulation; they can be painted to match almost any exterior.
  • Aluminum Doors have less of a tendency to rust than steel, are sturdier than fiberglass, and come in a baked-on enamel finish with many color options. Most aluminum doors can only be obtained directly from the manufacturer and each is custom built, so precision and expertise are required. Other than solid wood, aluminum doors are the most expensive.
  • Solid Wood Doors are unmatched in beauty. From hand-carved trim to intricate designs, wood is unmatched in both versatility and charm. However, solid wood doors will require routine maintenance.
