The Energy Transition No One’s Ready For

The Energy Transition No One’s Ready For

POV: The little blue flame on my gas stove is the real MVP.

It’s feeding my family, keeping the house warm through the gas fireplace, and honestly making me wonder how we’re supposed to just “turn off” natural gas without a better plan.

Natural gas is one of the cleanest carbon fuels we’ve got right now.

And while I’d love to live in a world where we all have magical renewable solutions, we’re not there yet.

In the meantime, my blue flower is pulling double duty.

Oh, and speaking of energy—why the hell are power lines still mostly above ground?

It’s like we’re daring every storm, squirrel, and gust of wind to take the grid out.

Burying them below grade feels like the bare minimum for 2024, don’t you think?

Energy transitions are great in theory, but without practical, affordable solutions, people will literally be left in the cold.

Thoughts? Disagreements?
